You can serve these delightful pancakes sweet or savory, with a wide variety of fillings. Get creative and fill them with fruit, jam, cream cheese, peanut butter, cheese, chocolate, or meats like sausage, ham, or bacon. Top them off with syrup, jam, or powdered sugar - the possibilities are endless!

To use the pan, simply heat it on medium heat, grease the cups with a small amount of butter, oil, or vegetable oil spray, and fill each cup about 2/3 full with the batter. Cook for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes per side, flipping with a toothpick, until golden brown. Serve warm, with a dusting of powdered sugar.

Alternatively, you can fill the cups only 1/3 full with batter, place a small amount of fruit in each cup, and cover with an additional 1/3 of batter.

For cast iron care, first wash the new pan with hot, soapy water. Then, season the pan by coating the inside surface up to the rim with vegetable oil (such as peanut, grapeseed, or canola), and bake it in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about an hour. Remove from the oven, let cool, and wipe off any excess oil.

To clean the pan, use very hot water and a scrubbing brush. Avoid using soap, as this will require re-seasoning the pan. After washing, simply spread a light coating of oil on the inside surface for storage.
